A Note from the Office of Academic Affairs

The Digital Resource and Content Accessibility Awareness Course, a new mandatory online training, has been implemented for this academic year and is to be completed annually by December 31.

LSU is committed to ensuring that all digital materials are accessible to people with disabilities. To ensure compliance with university policy as well as Sections 504 and 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, LSU is requiring that each classified employee, professional employee, faculty, other academic, contingent/transient, and graduate/teaching assistant complete the Digital Resource and Content Accessibility Awareness training each calendar year by December 31.

To take this course, visit the Digital Resource and Content Accessibility Awareness Community Moodle page.

Should you have any questions or feedback, please contact oawg@lsu.edu.

The Link Between Faculty Referrals and the Center for Academic Success and Retention

Students say faculty referrals are the number one reason they use CAS services. CAS free services include academic coaching, Supplemental Instruction, tutoring, online resources, and events – including our upcoming Signature Series event. Signature Series: Geaux for the Gold encourages students to learn about success strategies for conquering their semester. Moreover, data shows that students who take advantage of CAS support and resources improve their academic confidence, increase their academic performance (i.e., GPA and test scores), persist at LSU, and graduate on time.
