Girls' Day at the Museum
Wanted: GIRLS who are problem solvers, explorers and hidden gem seekers—for a day of science fun at the LSU Museum of Natural Science.
The LSU Museum of Natural Science and LSU College of Science invite girls in grades 4 through 6 to apply to LSU’s Girls' Day at the Museum.
Participants will meet new, like-minded friends, get a behind-the-scenes tour of the LSU Museum of Natural Science, learn from LSU College of Science student organizations through hands-on science activities, AND snack and chat with some of LSU's top women scientists.
Don't worry parents, we've got some fun in store for you too! Parents and guardians are welcomed to attend our Coaching Your Daughter Through STEM session that will feature some of LSU's top women educators and researchers who will give advice on how to foster your daughter's STEM interests. Parents and guardians will also get a behind-the-scenes tour of the LSU Museum of Natural Science and the chance to mingle with others whose daughters also have STEM interests.
Stay tuned for information on next year's Girls Day at the Museum! In the meantime, check out our year-long program, Passport to Explore!
